In every family there are those seemingly called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and allow them to continuously live on inside each of us. We are the scribes. We are the story tellers of the tribe.

It is with great pride and respect that we should honor the contributions and accomplishments of our ancestors; their hardships and losses; their perseverance and determination to succeed in building a life for their family and for us; for that we may be born who we are; that we may remember them, and so we do. We remember them with love and caring and by scribing each fact of their existence, because we are of them and they are us.

As a scribe called, I tell the story of my family.
